Before any work was performed, the diagnostic procedure and potential fixes were explained to me and I was told what the price would be for those services. After the work was completed, I was charged less than the quoted price because the resolution didn't involve all that was initially expected. The owner told me that he won't "just throw parts on a vehicle," meaning that he performs repairs when he knows the car needs it, and not when it doesn't.
